Tempered glass
This is also referred to as toughened glass. It is considered one of the strongest glass options you could consider, as its compressive stress is higher than conventional annealed glass. Tinted glass
As the name suggests, this type of glass has been tinted using window film. It is also referred to as a spectrally selective type of glazing. Some of the colours that you will find tinted glass in include shades of bronze, green and even grey. Low emissivity glass
This type of glass is also referred to as Low-E. It comprises a coating that works toward allowing natural light into the home while effectively reducing exposure to long-wavelength infrared beams that enter through the windows. This in effect ensures that your home is not being overly heated by the sun, yet does not impede on the amount of natural light being transmitted through your windows or doors. Low-E glass is best suited for homeowners living in locations that endure a considerable amount of sunshine throughout the year as they can also help in cutting down on your air conditioning costs.
